Women across the world are breaking silence in unprecedented numbers in an outcry against sexual violence and misconduct. In fiction, however, women's perspectives on these experiences are too often disregarded. These short stories feature women who are neither femmes fatales nor easily discarded pawns. If they are victims, it is not by choice, nor does it mean that they are voiceless. Victims can become survivors. These stories also show us men who are neither heroes, glamorous bad boys, nor harmless merely because they obey society's rules.
